Turquoise Ed Hardy T-shirt Dress Debuted Fashion Week

Turquoise Ed Hardy T-shirt Dress Debuted Fashion Week

We are all know a spin-off of the show, starring Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian’s sisters opening their second boutique in their D-A-S-H company in Miami, Florida, called Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami  aired from August to October, 2009. The latest leveraging of the Kardashian sister synergy hit the runway in Manhattan on Tuesday, as the Bebe-Kardashian line debuted at the Style 360 subset of New York Fashion Week. Since this was five long blocks across town from the Bryant Park tents — the center of the New York Fashion Week universe –the highest wattage celebrity attendee seemed to be the increasingly Amazonian-looking Jenni “J-Woww” Farley of “Jersey Shore” fame, who breezed into the room on glittery legs, wearing a turquoise Ed Hardy T-shirt dress and batting eyelashes the size of small butterflies, causing a Pamplona-like running of the paparazzi.

That was until reigning reality TV queen Kim Kardashian herself stepped in front of a phalanx of runway photographers, clad in a hooded, heather gray stretch jersey dress and black leatherette corset that cinched her figure into nearly Jessica Rabbit-like relief.

The actual show didn’t start for another 10 minutes, but Kardashian had arrived in what the crowd would shortly find out was look number two No. 2 from the new collection — which was designed by the Bebe brand’s in-house team with input from sisters and reality show costars Kim, Khloe and Kourtney — and the message was unmistakable: “Yeah, we’d wear this stuff.”

Judging by the constellation of flashbulbs that ensued when Kim Kardashian was en route to her front row seat, Kim Kardashian’s the photo-op was most welcome, but it turned out to be wholly unnecessary to get the point across. Anyone with even a passing familiarity with the Kardashian troika — from their E! series “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” courtside appearances at Lakers games (Khloe recently wed Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom) or the pages of such celebrity-centric glossies like as “People” or “US Weekly” — could have seen their personal style reflected in the 25 looks that came down the catwalk.

There was plenty of form-fitting stretch jersey, a bumper crop of one-shouldered dresses and lots of leg, laid bare in rompers and short dresses or sheathed in skinny jeans. Sexy? Yes, but certainly not in a “You’re not leaving the house like that, young lady!” sort of way. Sorry, Kardashian bashers, these clothes were kind of cute.

“Yes, the one-shouldered dress, that’s very me,” Kim Kardashian said backstage after the show. “The baggier blazers and rompers are very Kourtney, because she’s more bohemian, and this,” she said pointing to the dress she was wearing, “is one Khloe helped design. She really wanted a hoodie and she wanted something that was wearable and stretchy.”

Kardashian said there was no specific inspiration for the inaugural collection beyond the sisters themselves.

“No, there’s no particular theme,” she said. “We wanted our first season to just represent us, and what we like to wear. Me and Kourtney and Khloe all have different styles, but there are lots of one-piece dresses — it’s easiest when you’re putting an outfit together –and we wanted fabrics that were stretchy because we all have different body types and wanted something that would fit all of us.”

At the launch of most celebrity-affiliated clothing lines, the star spends the duration of the runway show backstage, giving the impression of being hard at work, tending to every last detail up until the final bow, so it was also worth noting that Kardashian chose to take it all in from a front row seat instead of watching from the wings.

Ed Hardy Clothing Was Weared By Olympic Skating Teams

Ed Hardy Clothing Was Weared By Olympic Skating Teams

Now Ed Hardy Clothing will be choosed by every industry gradually. Stephane Lambiel from Switzerland channeled Prince Valiant in a medieval-looking tunic with puffed sleeves and a breast plate (”His costume looks overpowering,” noted one sports announcer. “It almost looks like it’s burdensome for him.”) while Canadian Vaughn Chipeur took the Ed Hardy phenomenon too far - gliding out in an black stretchy T-shirt festooned with Hardy-esque tattoo graphics rendered in primary-colored sequins.

Russia’s Evgeny Plushenko, the 2006 Olympic gold medalist, also went the “Nutcracker” route, but in a black tunic riddled with rhinestones in floral patterns. France’s Brian Joubert and Canada’s Patrick Chan followed suit in similar - but less ostentatious - black, sparkly tunics.

Perhaps the busiest outfit of the night was worn by Daisuke Takahashi from Japan. The young skater donned black pants with a shredded, laced-up glittery floral top featuring rows of stand-up ruffles and a single faux gold glittery lapel. The affect was very Liberace-attacked-by-wolves.

Speaking of drama, Kevin Van der Perren of Belgium was a glittery skeleton on ice — his black suit emblazoned with sparkly human bones. And famously over-the-top U.S. skater Johnny Weir looked like a Betsey Johnson store exploded all over him in a sequined black bodysuit accented by a faux corset “laced up” with hot pink ribbons (a streak of pink ran down his arm, ending at the tip of his middle, gloved finger — very early Madonna.)

Jon Gosselin And Ed Hardy Sportswear

Now there is two questions. How will Jon Gosselin look in prison garb? Could jail house chic inspire a new line of Ed Hardy sportswear?

Kate Gosselin’s L.A. heavyweight lawyer Marty Singer is apparently gunning for Jon Gosselin and his lawyer, Mark Heller, after Jon allegedly withdrew $200,000 from the family joint bank account, which would be in violation of a court order, according to reports.

Guess we now know how Jon paid for this fancy new highlights he got in L.A. this weekend. He happily showed his new style and hue off at the Millions of Milkshakes event.

Singer, one of Los Angeles’ top lawyers, is not kidding around about legal action.

Singer told RadarOnline.com exclusively: “We will be looking into potential claims against Mr. Heller if he had any involvement with the violation of the court order.”

RadarOnline.com broke the story this weekend that Jon removed $200,000 from their bank account, despite a court order prohibiting it.

Kate reportedly hired Lavely & Singer after she got overdraft notices.

Now, Singer tells RadarOnline.com: “It is very disappointing that Jon Gosselin has escalated this to such an ugly place that her lawyers have to do everything they can to protect her and her children from his outrageous actions.”

In his letter to Jon’s lawyer, Singer warned: “We demand the immediate return to the account of all monies improperly withdrawn by your client.  If you and your client fail to comply with this demand, you do so at your peril.”…Know more about Jon Gosselin Latest news, please continue to focus on www.aolselling.com/blog.

News Release Christian Audigier Announced His New Ideas

In a news release we received today, the designer christian audigier announced that a new men’s and women’s apparel line, “free of graphics and logos … inspired by the comfort and simplicity of vintage T-shirts will be unveiled at the Project Las Vegas apparel trade show Feb.16. In the news release, Audigier (who, we were told, was en route to Miami and unable to speak with us) likens the new apparel line to “your favorite pair of jeans, you will want to live in these clothes.”

A company representative told us no photos of the new line would be available until the Las Vegas launch, but described the collection, which will retail between $32 and $92, as “soft, simple basics without any logos or graphic,” including cotton T-shirts and knit tops for both sexes, a color palette that skews neutral and earth tone, and nary a robed geisha, top-hatted skull or crouching tiger silkscreen to be seen.

It’s such a marked departure from the affable Frenchman’s signature aesthetic - a cacophony of color and a tendency toward over-larded embellishments (sequins! embroidery! foil!) - it could easily be called “Ed Hardly (or maybe “Non Dutch”), but the actual name of the line is somehow even funnier: the same guy(That’s right, all lower case with the trademark symbol appended).

Look Resourceful Christian Audigier How To Run His Business

Look Resourceful Christian Audigier How To Run His Business

Each celebrity’s office may all have himself characteristics. Designer Christian Audigier’s office is a monument to pop culture. The 3,000-square-foot space in the Culver City section of Los Angeles contains two pinball machines, two motorcycles, and large statues of Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man. There is no desk or computer. When it’s time to talk business, the 50-year-old clothing designer plops down on a sofa and fires up a Marlboro Light. Then he waits for the most eagerly anticipated news of the day—which celebrities have been wearing his clothes. “This is Madonna today,” Audigier says gleefully, as an assistant hands him a photograph from a celebrity Web site of the singer slipping into a car in a pair of Audigier’s black Ed Hardy “lounge pants” with skulls on them.

In style-crazy Los Angeles, Audigier has one of the hottest hands. Over the past six years he has helped build two brands into fashion phenomena: Von Dutch and now Ed Hardy. And both times he has done it with the same formula: Take a counterculture design figure and turn him into a clothing line coveted—and worn—by celebrities and cool young people.

Artworks by icons such as Andy Warhol and Keith Haring have become huge licensing businesses, but they were world-famous artists first. Audigier has managed to take two defiantly left-field figures and make their work mainstream. “He’s riding that classic Americana tattooed biker look like nobody else,” says Josh Levine, whose Rebel Organization specializes in marketing upstart brands.

Out on his own, Audigier searched for new ideas. Seeing the popularity of tattoos, he says he Googled the words “famous tattoo artist.” One of the names that popped up was Don Ed Hardy, a 63-year-old art school graduate who had gained a cult following drawing colorful tattoos featuring dragons, hearts, flowers, and skulls. Hardy has his work shown from time to time in galleries, and he owns a small publisher of tattoo-art books. But he mostly lived quietly in Hawaii and San Francisco, where he has operated a tattoo parlor, Tattoo City, since the 1970s.

MAGIC Ed Hardy Show Was Closed With Colorful Fireworks

Widely considered one of the most meteoric rises in fashion history, Christian Audigier has parlayed his design experience and business acumen to become a true fashion icon and entrepreneurial sensation in less than four years. Through his collection of international companies, he has launched nine popular brands with over sixty licenses. He oversees an international conglomerate of his designer brands, including Ed Hardy, Christian Audigier, Crystal Rock, Paco Chicano, this includes US and international wholesale distribution and retail stores. Christian made his mark throughout the fashion industry after a fortuitous start at MacKeen jeans. He has contributed to the success of several brands including Diesel, Fiorucci, Bisou Bisou, Levis, NafNaf and American Outfiters. Christian’s style is so distinctive that he is known as the “King of Jean.”

Reportly, Christian Audigier and Fashion mogul kicked off the opening day of the annual MAGIC Marketplace in style with a high-energy presentation of new designs for his collection of labels featuring models, dancers and a guest performance by Interscope Records’ underground glam rap sensation Mickey Avalon. An array of leggy and hard-bodied models and fashionable kids hit the runway to reveal the new looks in denims, street wear, kids and swimwear from the Ed Hardy, Christian Audigier, Crystal Rock, and Paco Chicano lines. Closing out the afternoon show, a dashing Christian Audigier appeared to welcome the crowd of fashion and industry guests and the effortlessly cool Mickey Avalon rocked the stage. Surprisingly, the show was closed with pyrotechnics confetti explosions with Christian Audigier and Don Ed Hardy walking down the center stage and taking a bow.

In his trademark larger-than-life style, the Audigier brand was highly visible at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Complete with the elaborate grunge-chic Christian Audigier stage, multiple booths, custom Christian Audigier cars on display, and an Audigier Brand Management sky box lounge to oversee operations, Audigier continues to thrive on effective branding and setting trends in mainstream fashion.

Ed Hardy Another Faithful Fan Dwight

According the latest news, Ed Hardy is excited to announce their relationship with NBA phenom Dwight Howard. “Dwight embodies the Ed Hardy brand in its entirety; he’s an original, dedicated to his sport, ambitious and self confident, everything that the Ed Hardy line stands for.”

Howard was drafted in 2004 and continues to play for the Orlando Magic. He is a member of the Olympic Basketball Team winning the Gold in 2008. Howard also has a strong presence off the court, where he is known for his community service.

Dwight spent a day at the corporate offices in January shooting the first of his ad campaigns, and got a chance to see the newest additions to the line. “I’m a fan of the designs, and I feel blessed to be provided this opportunity,” says Dwight.

The outdoor ad campaign featuring Howard will launch during NBA All Star Weekend in Dallas and will rollout across the county in the spring.

Yes, Ed Hardy is a globally recognized fashion brand known for its cutting edge, classic American tattoo art. The art of Don Ed Hardy has struck a chord with consumers nationwide and the line has evolved into a lifestyle brand rising to exceptional popularity in record time and setting a precedent in the fashion world. As a pop culture icon, Ed Hardy continues to evolve and stay at the cutting edge of definitive tastemaker style.

Christian Audigier Launched His Playful Wines

Christian Audigier Launched His Playful Wines

Audigier has teamed up with a small cooperative in France, Montpeyroux Estates, to release a line of fine wines. He launched his wine and champagne brand in June 2009 at Movida, a London nightclub. Along with Pure Management, Audigier is a partner in a namesake nightclub in Las Vegas, located inside the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. There are some rather flashy wines out there but perhaps none showier than the ones from Christian Audigier, he of the Ed Hardy brand and his own fashion label. Audigier is a brand obsessive. This is a man with his logo tattooed across his back. And the Audigier and Ed Hardy style is instantly recognizable and provokes an immediate reaction even if that reaction is less than positive.

The wine is bottled in France by the Castel Group and imported by Nicolas Wines in Connecticut and there are two price points: the Ed Hardy label goes for $10, and the Christian Audigier label is $20. And if your first reaction is “I wouldn’t be caught dead drinking that” that’s just fine. This wine isn’t for those accustomed to perusing the aisles with a copy of Wine Spectator in their hands, it’s designed to attract new drinkers and to show that wine can be playful.

If there’s anything that Christian Audigier seems to know about it’s mass appeal. He bears the tagline “it’s not just a wine, it’s a lifestyle.” The wine also has its own MySpace page. And the wine doesn’t tout its French origin.

Ed Hardy Shopping Will Be More Easy

Ed Hardy Shopping Will Be More Easy
“Godfather of Street Chic” Christian Audigier announced the Grand Opening of his newest store at Los Angeles’ Beverly Center, the largest grossing and premier trendsetting marketplace in Los Angeles.

The Beverly Center opening marks the rapidly growing Ed Hardy retail collection’s expansion into an indoor mall venue. Ed Hardy retail locations on New York’s SOHO and Meat Packing District and on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles are well known for their distinctively fun, California garage-themed shopping experiences.

The new 1,000 square foot Beverly Center store, designed by OCA Architecture, takes the Ed Hardy shopping experience to new heights by combining additional elements of style, shopping ease and visual merchandising with Ed Hardy’s proven street location formula.

“This is an important first step in our national retail roll-out plan and we could not have picked a better venue than the Beverly Center, acclaimed as both a retail volume and style powerhouse,” said Henry R. Mandell, President and COO of Shop on Stage Inc Christian Audigier’s retail holding company.

“Retail mall expansion is critical to our building of new geographic markets and to be closer to our customer base. This is just the first step in our national presence in the top mall retailing locations around the country which will unfold in the next few years,” concluded Mandell.
